A quick privacy summary for learners

  • We save the account and learning information Iuvaro needs to work.
  • Reviewed content and fixed software rules control scores and progress. AI only provides guided support, and your optional Tutor reply is not saved.
  • We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you for advertising.
  • You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before your account is created.

Iuvaro's data-protection contact is support@iuvaro.com. You can contact us with a privacy question or complaint.

1. Who we are

Iuvaro is an AI-powered personal tutor that helps learners master a subject through structured lessons, checkpoints, and revision. Iuvaro is currently in a private beta: access is by invitation only, and the product is operated directly by its founder. This policy explains what data we store about you and how it is used.

2. What we collect

We store only what the product needs to work:

  • Account data — your email address, and a securely hashed password if you sign up with email and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile details (such as your name) from Google.
  • Learning setup — the subject, level, and goals you choose during setup.
  • Learning progress — your roadmap, completed lessons, checkpoint and quiz answers, scores, and retry history.
  • Learning support data — misconception tags (notes about which concepts you found difficult), your revision schedule, and short companion memory notes the tutor keeps about your recent learning so it can personalize support.
  • Identity and Cosmos data — a chosen username, a system-generated friend code, friendship request and acceptance records, learning reward ledger entries, and your celestial formations. These expression features do not change your grades or learning progress.
  • Feedback — anything you choose to send us about the beta.
  • Support and security data — messages you send to support, plus limited technical information needed to prevent abuse, deliver the service, and diagnose errors (for example, request timing, route, and error context).

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not show ads.
  • We do not run behavioral tracking or advertising analytics.
  • We do not collect payment details — the private beta is free.
  • We do not ask for sensitive personal data. Please do not type personal details (yours or anyone else's) into free-text answers.

4. How we use your data

  • To provide the product: save your progress, schedule revision, and personalize lessons and support.
  • To improve Iuvaro during the beta, including diagnosing errors and fixing bugs.
  • To contact you about your beta participation.

5. AI processing

Core lessons, checkpoints, scores, progression, misconception tagging, revision scheduling, and rewards are controlled by reviewed curriculum and deterministic software. AI does not decide those outcomes.

When you request Iuvaro Tutor, the minimum relevant support context is sent to Anthropic's Claude service to generate the response. Depending on the screen, this can include the exact reviewed lesson beat or the exact question from your completed failed checkpoint attempt, the fixed support choice you selected, your bounded teaching profile, and the optional short reply you type. Your email address, password, full account record, question bank, prior tutor responses, and transcript are not included in that tutoring prompt. Iuvaro sends this context only to provide the feature, not for advertising.

A guided tutoring exchange exists only on the current page and clears when you navigate away or reload. Iuvaro does not save your optional tutoring reply, the prompt, the response, or a transcript. It stores only bounded support categories and optional helpful/not-helpful feedback. Quiz answers remain separate learning records used by the deterministic checkpoint system.

Free-text quiz answers and optional tutoring replies may contain information you type. Please do not include names, contact details, health information, or other private details about yourself or anyone else.

6. Where your data lives

Iuvaro runs on established infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Neon — managed database where your account and progress are stored.
  • Anthropic — AI model provider for tutoring support (see section 5).
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Sentry — error reporting (when enabled), so we can find and fix crashes. Reports may contain limited technical request and error context, are minimized for debugging, and are not used for marketing.

7. Retention and the beta

We keep your data while your account is active. Because this is a beta, learning data may be reset, migrated, or deleted at the end of the beta period — we will tell participants before that happens.

8. Friends and Cosmos visits

A signed-in learner can send a request using another learner's exact username and system-generated friend code. The other learner must accept before either person can visit the other's Cosmos. We store who sent the request, who received it, its pending or accepted state, and the relevant timestamps.

An accepted friend can see only your username and completed celestial bodies. They cannot see your friend code, email, balances, Formation Unit totals, current formation progress, lesson or Challenge activity counts, grades, scores, misconceptions, revision state, or companion mood. Either learner can remove the friendship at any time, which immediately revokes future access. An already-open visitor view rechecks when the app returns to view and every 30 seconds while it remains open. Requests and visits are rate-limited to reduce guessing and spam.

9. Parent report sharing

A signed-in learner can create a read-only link to share a limited mastery report with a parent or guardian. The report can show topic and skill names, mastery bands, assessment coverage, diagnostic timing, and progress trends; it does not include the learner's email address, password, or account controls.

The link is a private bearer capability: anyone who receives it can open that report without signing in. New links expire after 30 days, creating a new link revokes the previous one, and the learner can stop sharing at any time. The raw link token is not stored in the database, and shared responses are marked non-cacheable and non-indexable. Learners and recipients should still keep the link private and avoid forwarding it.

10. Your choices

You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and all associated data, at any time. Email support@iuvaro.com from the address linked to your account so we can verify the request and respond.

11. Children

The private beta is invitation-only. If an invited learner is a minor, participation must be arranged with the consent of a parent or guardian via the founder before the account is created.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the beta evolves; the date at the top shows the latest version. Iuvaro's data-protection contact for privacy questions, requests, and complaints is support@iuvaro.com.
